This project called for the transformation of the 7701 N. Lamar Office Building interior into a modern and architectural space to serve as the Concordia University’s Headquarters. Each of the five floors, totaling 55,000 sf, was stripped to the exterior walls and exposed roof deck. After demolition was completed, Journeyman updated all electrical, communications and fire alarm cabling offering a fresh canvas to tenants. Most notably, Journeyman Construction completely finished-out the 1st floor to serve as the company’s corporate office space. We worked with our project architect to design an office layout conducive to an efficient working environment.

Journeyman managed the transformation of the building including the entire interior demolition, mechanical systems upgrades, interior framing, and finishes. The finishes incorporate tile flooring in the 1st floor common areas, custom wood trim package, multi-tone accent walls, and built-in wood shelving units. The two elevator cars were refinished with wood paneling echoing the wood package in the building. Dramatic architectural finishes are carried through to the common areas of the upper levels as well to maintain a building continuity.
