Journeyman Construction was founded in 1996 and maintains its corporate headquarters in Austin with a regional office in Corpus Christi.
Over the past twenty years, the company has grown to become one of the largest construction firms in Texas. It was named by Entrepreneur magazine as one of the 100 fastest growing construction firms in the U.S. and in 2014, it was ranked as one of the top 400 general contractors in the country by Engineering News Record magazine.
The company’s project portfolio includes K-12, multi-family, senior living, hospitality, higher education, retail, office buildings, medical offices, condominiums, municipal buildings, and parks & recreation facilities, several of which have achieved LEED certification. Journeyman has received numerous awards from Associated Builders and Contractors recognizing the quality of its work.
Journeyman maintains a payment and performance bonding program underwritten by Liberty Mutual Surety, with capacity on single projects up to $50 million and aggregate capacity across all projects up to $150 million.
The company’s 50+ employees perform work in estimating, project management, field supervision, and administrative and accounting support. Safety is a top priority and all project managers and superintendents maintain the OSHA 30-hour training and certification credential.
